Chris had an appointment yesterday in Belize City that proved to be of God's divine hand. The lady is a christian and was very nice to Chris, in fact after a couple months of trial work (which he will be paid) sounds like he will be teaching EMT & CPR classes right out here in the area we are living in. She was very impressed with his learning and the skills he attained but she would like him to prove those skills on the job and see how he works with other employees. Thats very understandable!!
The lady mentioned that they have prayer at each meeting and honored Chris' Sabbath and said he wouldn't have to work them.
Now on to the even bigger blessings- she can write a letter and expedite his work visa, which is required by law until we gain residency. So that is something that can take months but she can help it through in probably a couple weeks!
The really huge blessing is that this lady along with her family members also do residency applications!!!
She told my husband that he is the only one that needs to do it and that the rest of us all would fall under his residency. Thats not all......she will only charge a fraction of the cost and said that Chris would have his in 2-3 weeks instead of months, when the time comes!!
Talk about God looking out for us and giving us a Godly woman as a connection for many things. We all felt God's miracle yesterday when Chris was relaying all this information to us. I had tears in my eyes as I listened to all the wonderful things that God had provided and opened the door for.
About the work visa- once he has one he can work at any job, so he could work a couple jobs if he needed to.
Please continue to pray that the Belize Emergency Response Team will be able to locate an ambulance branch out here in our area.
Praise God!
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Psalm 28:7

Faith FM
I was thinking yesterday that we have been so hot and then also sick that I have failed to mention Faith Fm.
Faith Fm is a large part of why we are here.......there are other opportunities as well but this is the main one. The family that operates faithfm are wonderful christian people who love God.
Everyday they are living by faith and by God's providing miracles! Miracle's that are large and small but happen right before your eyes. God is blessing abundantly this ministry that is reaching thousands of souls for Christ all throughout Belize and into Mexico & Guatemala.
Our family is so blessed to be a part of this ministry and as we settle in I will be telling more about it. We will also be getting more involved with faithfm ministry once we get past the move in phase.
Please pray for faithfm and for our family.

Still Waiting
We are still waiting to get our things from customs!!
The official is being rude and trying to charge us way too much money. So tomorrow is a new day and there is a gentleman that is going to try and help us. Hopefully, we will be able to get our things and get moved in?
Mathew is not coughing as much but is still stuffy and finally today his ear popped and he said that he had been missing a lot due to his ear being plugged. Isabel is doing better like Mathew, granted they are still sick its just way better than it was. Hannah seems to be the last one to be going through the worst of the coughing stages. She should start turning around to soon. Nightime is the worst for all of them and during the day I have to tell them no playing soccer or frisbee so they don't get coughing!
Chris feels like he's coming down with it and I have been fighting it all last week and still my throat is sore. So far I have avoided the coughs, which I am very thankful for.
There is a new mission group coming in 2 weeks so it would be nice to be settled and well so we can be involved in that. I have yet to see my dear cousin Wendy and her little boy Aden because we have been sick! So please pray that we will all be well fast and also that our things will get out of customs detainment.
Chris is heading to Belize City tomorrow with Addy & Jr.. He has a interview with the ambulance service and they are visiting a friend and picking up Addy's sister from the airport. We are praying that something will come of this interview tomorrow. We have to get some work to be able to stay here and do mission work.

Customs
Our things have arrived down here but we already had a not too good run in with the customs official. We received a phone call today to come down just to talk to the customs official. So we prayed before Chris went because I was here watching over the radio station for Addy. I was changing over broadcast channels so they could air the Pine ridge meeting live.
So here is the scoop.....Chris went and was nice and honest and decided it wouldn't do any good to be anything else. The official was quite young and was very full of himself....knowing he could really charge us a lot. He told Chris that we need to declare a value total of our things and that he would charge 45%!
The man that brought our things down said he would talk to the official on our behalf and that we probably wouldn't be charged that much. So the next meeting with the official is Tuesday evening.
Please pray that God will soften his heart to grant us some mercy and not charge us a bunch of money. We are confidant that the Lord will watch over this situation and help us because its out of our hands and there is nothing we can do, only God. So we are praying.
Mat seems to not be coughing quite so much today but the girls are coughing a little worse. Mat had a bad night last night so I'm guessing the girls will have one tonight. We are praying and using all the supplies that I brought to treat the kids. The dogs seem just fine and I feel like I'm fighting something but haven't completely come down with it yet and Chris said he feels fine still.
Hugs to all our loved ones and friends back home!
We sure enjoyed the 3ABN homecoming programs today......what a blessing!

Sick!
The kids have been coughing all week.....must have caught something before they left or on the plane ride down here.
The last three days have been beautifully sunny and super HOT, tack on the humidity, well enough said!
We finished painting the inside of the house and it looks really nice and we are still awaiting our home things. Word is that it should be here this evening....so I'm guessing Sunday we will begin hauling and moving in.
Addy & I will be starting up a new youth class at church probably in the next few weeks. So pray that we will do a good job and teach the kids the bible.
Unfortunately, I packed my camera without thinking about it so I can't take pictures of anything and thats why I have not pictures with my blog.

Catching Up
We are ALL really tired from the last several months of getting ready to move and then finally moving!
We are finding it hard to get in the morning but I know that will get better in a few days. We have been eating lots of fresh fruit and vegetables from the market.
I can't believe there are still MANGOES to eat!!
There are so many avocado's that we are eating them 2-3 times a day. I guess they won't be around as long though.
A couple of the kids are coughing now, from something they picked up before we left. Now they are playing ultimate frisbee with the neighbors.
This week we will be getting the inside of the house painted and begin some of the cleaning. Hopefully, things will arrive here from the states by Thursday so we can get moved over to our house.
Next Wednesday is the independence celebration for Belize.....so we get fireworks again!

Our Safe Journey
We had a very good trip here to Belize and everything went well. We are thankful to God for watching over us and seeing that our travels were on time safe.
Yes, the humidity is higher down here now but it should start tapering off in a couple weeks. Our Belizean family had a wonderful supper ready for us and Gen surprised us with a cake that had fresh strawberries on top! YUM!
The kids were happy to reunite with their friends and we are happy to see our friends too.
The dogs did well on the trip and are doing well with us......I think that they are just happy to be with us and not left behind.
Thank you to those that were praying for our safety.

On Our Way
We are beginning a new chapter of our lives as a family! For the next few years we will be serving the Lord in mission work abroad. Please pray for our safe travels and that God will use us to reach many souls as well as blessing us spiritually.
We will miss seeing our family and friends that are close to our hearts but we know that someday we will all see each other again in Heaven.
Our prayers will be with those that we love even though we will be far away. God bless and thank you to those that helped us with this move.
