The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Psalm 28:7

The Last of the Guatemala Pics

I can't believe that time gets away from me for soooo long. The kids started back to school, I have been working, putting time into new ministry, and our church is in the process of being organized so many things happening.

Here are the last of our pictures from our great summer trip to Guatemala!

Guatemala Part 6

More pictures from Antigua!

Some of the hotel we stayed in and some from around town. Walking down the streets you would never guess the oasis behind the doors. Stores, hotels, homes, restaurants, etc..
That dog on the motorcycle cracked us all up!
The volcano is the view from our hotel room.
The hotel courtyard was really nice.
There was a little laundromat right across the street and the last picture is what you see from the street and would never know such a beautiful hotel was behind that door.

Guatemala Part 5

I have fallen a little behind in adding more of our trip so here it continues.
We visited Antigua, Guatemala and it was a very neat place. A spanish colonial town that was built in the 1600's and the cobblestone streets were awesome.
These pictures are from the 328 steps up to the huge cross on the hill over looking the town. The town is nestled between the fire and water volcano's.

Guatemala Part 4

We visited Maria Alejandra sda church while in Nueva Concepcion. The walls and foundation were done by a group from Maranatha missions. The local church did the floor, roof, and finished the inside.

Currently, they needs fans, sabbath school rooms finished and are about to begin construction of a new sda school.

Guatemala Part 3

We had such a good time meeting Sayda's family! They took good care of us and fed us really good vegetarian food. Really nice, christian people that have invited us back and we will surely go again sometime.

Betty is Sayda's mom and she is cooking tamales over the outdoor firehearth.

Isabel is shelling out fresh black beans. They pick them before they dry.......really good.
