The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Psalm 28:7

Another Week Over

I can't believe another week has flown by!

We had some really nice days here in Belize over this past week and a little rain mixed in. I love the blue skies and sunshiny days!!! Have to admit that this time of year can be a bit warm without the rains to cool it down.

Dry days make for easier access to outside activities like walking and bike riding. The kids and I had several walks up a nearby valley with the dogs. I have to say that my dogs are soooooo HAPPY to finally get these roam free, run free walks again. My dogs are actually smiling and so are the rest of us.
We get to enjoy quiet peaceful walks on a pretty decent dirt road for Belize. There are butterflies of every color flitting around us the entire time. I especially love the great big blue ones. Tons of dragon flies, grasshoppers of all sizes, turtles, and lots of parrots flying over head. I love to watch the parrots and out there you can see them up close. Parrots fly really fast so its hard to see them from our home.

My kids ask for walks now everyday because this is something we did back home almost everyday too. They are happy and love getting out like this. There are a couple homes up that valley but its pretty quiet.
Chris joined us on the walks the last couple days but he ends up being gone a lot of the time when we go. He really likes it up there too.

We accomplished much today just like every Friday in preparation for the Sabbath. Looking forward to relaxing and resting with the family and in Christ!

Happy Sabbath!!

Sabbath Outing!!

We had a really nice Sabbath and in between the rains were able to get out for a walk with friends and go see a new born filly!

We all had a nice time walking together and my dogs thought they were in heaven!! They haven't got any of these run free walks since coming because most places are unsafe for them (all the mean stray dogs.)

We came across this pair of geese and I thought they might get a little grumpy with us but instead they just moved off.
This little filly is sooooo cute!!!

We also found this huge wasp nest.

A Day of R & R

We spent the better part of the day out at Banana Bank enjoying the pool!!!

A perfect day with little sunshine, cloudy weather and a little rain. If the sun shines its hard to swim very long because you tend to burn fast.

A Visit to the Farm

We haven't been out to the farm much lately since the rains have started. Mostly, because our little truck won't make it in the mud. The skies had been dry for almost a week and out we went. We took a family from church with us and they have a four year old girl.

So nice to visit with Henry Sr. and his wife Terry. She always sends us home with whatever fruit is in season from their orchard. This time our bag was FULL of avocado's, lemons, and star fruit. No, I didn't make a mistake they are lemons and not limes. We have limes year round but you  hardly see lemons here.

While walking in their orchard with Terry I saw my first snake since being here. She said it was about 6 feet long and I saw how big its head and body was. She called it a Black Tail snake and said it isn't poisonous and actually belonged to the boa family. (I'm sure it could bite though) It ran from us quickly and I couldn't get a picture.
She said she always uses a big long stick to kill all snakes especially the venomous ones. Her husband said the same thing because you hit the snake on the back and break its back and it can't move and then you kill it.
Well, I hope I never have to try that!!

Our friends little girl (hadasa) sure enjoyed being around my kids and she really liked getting to ride on Henry Jr.s horse.
Ranger was exceptionally frisky yesterday so the kids just did a couple quick turns.

Terry has a new little puppy named Muffet!!
Soooo cute!!

She actually eats watermelon......never seen a dog eat that before but since being here I'm not surprised at what dogs will eat. Most of their other grown dogs will eat just about any type of fruit that falls from their trees.

Intricate Web

The other morning we woke up to lots of dew from the night cooling down.

Some spider was busy in the night and spun a web at our neighbors. I wish the picture was better.

Buggin Around

Check out the HUGE grasshopper!!

Our neighbor found this pretty salamander and showed it to us. We haven't seen any like that yet.

Dessert!!

Strawberry Cream Cake!!

All Vegan!

Absolutely Delicious!

A new recipe that will stay with our family.

Little Trials

We have had a run of small trials one right after the next. We lost one computer in a lightning storm.
The truck has had problems.
The roof is leaking badly!
My back up laptop has something wrong with it.
My washer is still out of service!
I could add a few more but thats enough.

Yes, I get frustrated at times when things happen but I realize that God always has the answer and I just need to fully rely on Him.

So thankful to borrow an old washer.
So thankful that I can get the laptop fixed for cheap!
So thankful I can find the parts the truck needs and for not too expensive.
So thankful that the roof will be repaired soon.
Soon I will be able to get the part for my washer and it will be fixed!

I know that God has something better in store for us with these solutions and I'm so thankful that He loves us so much to worry about my frets.

Our Little Boy Turns 15!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATHEW!!!

You are such a nice, hard working, christian young man!
He ordered up a frozen peanut butter carob pie all for himself and the rest of us had to share a separate one.

This was his Belizean birthday bath, of which he was not expecting.
