The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Psalm 28:7

A Visit to the Farm

We haven't been out to the farm much lately since the rains have started. Mostly, because our little truck won't make it in the mud. The skies had been dry for almost a week and out we went. We took a family from church with us and they have a four year old girl.

So nice to visit with Henry Sr. and his wife Terry. She always sends us home with whatever fruit is in season from their orchard. This time our bag was FULL of avocado's, lemons, and star fruit. No, I didn't make a mistake they are lemons and not limes. We have limes year round but you  hardly see lemons here.

While walking in their orchard with Terry I saw my first snake since being here. She said it was about 6 feet long and I saw how big its head and body was. She called it a Black Tail snake and said it isn't poisonous and actually belonged to the boa family. (I'm sure it could bite though) It ran from us quickly and I couldn't get a picture.
She said she always uses a big long stick to kill all snakes especially the venomous ones. Her husband said the same thing because you hit the snake on the back and break its back and it can't move and then you kill it.
Well, I hope I never have to try that!!

Our friends little girl (hadasa) sure enjoyed being around my kids and she really liked getting to ride on Henry Jr.s horse.
Ranger was exceptionally frisky yesterday so the kids just did a couple quick turns.

Terry has a new little puppy named Muffet!!
Soooo cute!!

She actually eats watermelon......never seen a dog eat that before but since being here I'm not surprised at what dogs will eat. Most of their other grown dogs will eat just about any type of fruit that falls from their trees.
